Celina Loyer, returning champion, will defend From the Ashes by Jesse Thistle
Scott Hayes, reporter for the St. Albert Gazette, will defend Radicalized by Cory Doctorow
Councillor Jacquie Hansen, St. Albert City Council, will defend Son of a Trickster by Eden Robinson
Jason Purcell, Interviews Editor for Glass Buffalo, will defend Small Game Hunting at the Local Coward Gun Club by Megan Gail
Susie Moloney, Edmonton Public Library Writer in Residence for 2020, will defend We Have Always Been Here by Samra Habib
